Potato plants do very well when fed on tomato
feed which is high in potash rather then nitrogen. Too much nitrogen
only encourages foliage growth which is to the detriment of the
potato tubers. For those who don't know, thinning
is the process of removing excess seedlings to allow the remaining
ones room to grow. Thinings can often be eaten. |

HARDEN OFF TOMATO PLANTS Tomato plants
need to be gradually acclimatised to outside conditions before they
are planted in the containers or growing bags. Start them off with a
few hours outside and slowly increase that time over the next two
